Festival of Speed visitors will be able
to watch all the action from a giant screen next to the Sky Sports
Pavilion and presenters will include host David Croft, three-time
grand prix winner Johnny Herbert and Natalie Pinkham presenting all
the action from the F1 paddock.
The Sky Sports pavilion within the F1
Paddock will also feature a Sky Sports channel feed, Sky genius bar,
a special viewing gallery and promotional staff handing out lanyards
with free ear-plugs!
In addition there will be a
green-screen experience at which visitors can have their picture
taken as if they were inside a real racing car, and the opportunity
to win Sky-related prizes.
F1 world champions Lewis Hamilton and
Kimi Raikkonen will feature on Sunday, June 29, while the timed
shoot-out to decide who will be fastest up the hill will be broadcast
live on Sky Sports 2 and Sky Sports F1 from 1500-1700, with
commentary from Tony Jardine and Will Buxton.
The show will feature the climax to the
Festival of Speed and the attempt by nine-time World Rally champion
Sebastien Loeb to break the record in the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak
car.
